REGISTRATION AND ADMISSION (1) The lower age limit for admission to Kindergarten I is 3 years, Kindergarten II is 4 years, and Kindergarten III is 5 years. Similarly for admission to class I the age limit is 6 years. Age is calculated as on 1st June of the year admission is sought. (2) The application for registration to KG Section should be sent to the Principal by the 1st of November and for other classes by the 1st of April on a prescribed form attached to the Prospectus. The attested copy of the Birth certificate showing age from the Corporation / Panchayat should be enclosed with the application. A family photograph should be included. (3) On receipt of the admission form and registration fees of Rs. 250/- the child’s name is registered for admission. Admission test is generally held in the first week of March. (4) In classes I to VIII some new admissions are made, but only students from English medium schools affiliated to the CBSE are admitted. The Transfer Certificate should be countersigned by the Regional Officer, CBSE Thiruvananthapuram or the DEO of the concerned educational district. (5) New students may be admitted to Class XI of the +2 stage of the Senior School Certificate Examination. Students desirous of getting admission to class XI should get their names registered and then send an attested copy of the mark list of class X within a week of the declaration of the result. No test will be held for those who have studied CBSE syllabus but students will be admitted on merit. Students from other Boards may be admitted based on availability of seats and strictly on merit. It is to be noted that admission to Class XI of students who pass their 10th class examination from The Delta Study will not be automatic. It will strictly be on the basis of merit, their conduct and behaviour in the school till date. The School offers a broad based selection of elective subjects for applicants to plus one to suit their aptitude. A counseling session will be held at school for applicants as well as their parents to help them choose a suitable combination of electives offered. The electives chosen and finalized by the end of July, in the current session, would be registered with the CBSE and the options cannot be changed thereafter, till the student completes his Senior Secondary course. However, a student can opt for additional electives if she/ he so desires. WITHDRAWALS One month’s written notice must be given if a student is to be withdrawn. In case of uncertainty anticipatory notice may be given which may be cancelled if so desired. For the withdrawal of a student without a month’s notice or anticipatory notice, a compensation of three months’ tuition fees would have to be paid.
