The widest road leading to the solution of all our problems is education, education touches the future, affecting eternity, touching lives forever, said Tagore. The success of a school is the ability to provide the ‘Gen Next’ with holistic grooming and education. A healthy progressive and educated next generation is our greatest moral and social responsibility. We at The Delta Study aim at preparing students for global citizenship where in respect, empathy and sensitization for diverse groups is essential. We believe that schools should become catalysts for change. Our efforts must be geared to inspire and empower our students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers and to display their innate skills in problem solving abilities to find long lasting solutions in an ever changing global society. Unlike the game of soccer where players can be substituted, the game of life allows no substitutions or replays. You probably will not get a second chance. We the educators are playing a game of life, each move requires caution. So let us play our role with dedication and sincerity. “Technology is just a tool, in terms of getting working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important of them all”, said Bill Gates. Dear teachers the world passes through our hands, we shape the world hence our role as teachers cannot be over emphasized. Let us take care of the children entrusted to our care and rest be assured that God will take care of our own. India is at a unique cusp of demographic transition and is set at a potentially significant strategic advantage. Whilst the whole world is aging India is getting younger. Much will depend on how we leverage this positive dividend, here comes the crucial role of educators- the gigantic latent energy present in our youth can become an asset only if it is harnessed and channelized in the right direction. If it is not so t could just as easily turn a big liability. So the onus of responsibility lies on us. A word of caution to my young parents- Present day parents have no time for their children. They substitute time with money and electronic gadgets. You are opening the doors of hell. If you have no time for your children today, they will not have time for you tomorrow, when you need them most. An advice to my dear children- Miracles do happen. The formula is, Hard work + God’s Grace=Miracle. “We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives”, said John. F. Kennedy. The guidance and sprit with which our Management Committee involves itself positively in all our activities is what makes the school so complete. Our gratitude and thanks goes out to them. We thank the parents for their overwhelming support. The staff of The Delta Study needs a pat on the shoulder for rising up to the need of the hour, which is excellence in everything they do. So together we will, we can, we must achieve excellence.
