Abran D. Puthenparambil of std 7B recently caught attention of the media. Abran is a budding artist who draws, sings and design clothes and jewellery. Recently when the lockdown began in the country, he had a lot of free time at home.

At this time the young designer had an opportunity to assist his father in making regular masks for various departments. It was then Abran had the inspiration to customise and make unique masks. He being interested in textiles had a habit of collecting cut pieces of unique material from his aunt Zareena’s stitching centre.

Using these cut pieces Abran explored and made triple layered, breathable cotton masks with a unique cut. He marketed the mask through his Instagram account and in no time the mask started to sell like hot cake. The look, feel and the design caught attention of many and with the media too.
