The joys and benefits of experiential learning can never be overlooked. Club activities supplement academics and provide a platform for the students wherein they can hone their skills and talents.
CLUB LITTERAIRE
Club Litteraire explores the various aspects of English. It enhances the ability to write and also brings out the inborn creativity of the students. The students are groomed to express themselves through various activities such as poem writing, slogan writing etc. The club shoulders a great responsibility to produce budding authors and poets with immense word power.
SCIENCE CLUB THE SCIENTIFIC TEMPER
“Science is the process that takes us from confusion to understanding.” It is through science that we prove, but through intuitions that we discover.” Celebrating the spirit of Science, the Science Club, offers opportunities to explore areas of science beyond curriculum. It focuses on developing scientific temper among the students.
SUPW CLUB
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” “The happiest people in life are the givers, not the getters.” “S.U.P.W is not a subject. It’s an emotion.” . To bridge the gap between life and education, education and work, we have our SUPW Club. We make learning effective by correlating knowledge with craft and theory with practice.
ART ORATOIRE CLUB
“A good orator is pointed and impassioned.” “Oratory is the power to talk people out of their sober and natural opinions.” “Words have incredible power. They can make people’s hearts soar, or they can make people’s hearts sore.” Art Oratoire caters to the linguistic skills of the students. The aim of the club is to enhance the oratory skills of the students and to lessen their hesitation to speak English fluently. The main attractions for guided interaction are Extempore, persuasive speech, Elocutions, Just a minute. Turn about, Debate etc.
QUIZ CLUB SMARTICUS
“Successful and unsuccessful people do not vary greatly in their abilities. They vary in their desires to reach their potentials.” The Quiz Club came into existence to update the knowledge of the students in various fields like Academics General Knowledge, Analytical abilities, Quantitative reasoning etc. so that the talented students get the opportunity to sharpen their quizzing skills.
HERITAGE CLUB - LEGACY CLUB
“If you’re going to live, leave a legacy. Make a mark on the world that can’t be erased.” “Living with a purpose is the most valuable thing one can do.” The Heritage Club promotes the concept the heritage conservation and creates awareness about the local culture, history and traditions among the students. Activities like poster making on monuments, talk on heritage trees of Fort Kochi, traditional utensils etc. are conducted to ingrain a sense of enduring affinity and belongingness to the cultural heritage we have inherited.
MATHS CLUB - SQUIRCLES
“Mathematics gives us hope that every problem has a solution.” “Mathematics is like going to the gym for your brain. It sharpens your mind.” It is the need of the hour to help students in having an idea of the practical utility of mathematics in addition to creating their interest in mathematics. We at The Delta Study have formed a Maths Club with the purpose of showing children that math can be playful, exciting and full of wonders.
EBSB CLUB - CULTURAL AMALGAMATION
“We are only as strong as we are united.Together we are building Ek bharat, Shreshtha Bharat. Come, Let’s join hands.” “Sardar Patel gave us Ek Bharat. It is now the solemn duty of 125 crore Indians to collectively make Shreshtha Bharat.” “Unity in diversity is India’s strength. There is simplicity in every Indian. There is unity in every corner of India. This is our strength.” The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat celebrates the unity in diversity of our nation. It maintains and strengthens the emotional bond between the people of our country. This club helps the students to showcase the rich heritage, culture, customs and traditions of either state for enabling people to understand and appreciate the diversity thus fostering a sense of common identity by its activities like exposing the students to the alphabet song, proverbs and exploring sentences in the languages of the partnering state.
