A WARM WELCOME TO THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR 2021-’22
“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together” – Vincent Van Gogh

Shining a light on the shadow of this pandemic, The Delta Study welcomes you to the new academic year 2021-’22, with new hopes and great expectations. Amidst the pandemic situation, we strive to stay positive and refuse to give up, despite the challenges that may come our way.
It is with much pride and gratitude that we would like to state that our students stood strong and accepted the uncharted avenue of online education, throughout the trying times of the pandemic last year, with the guidance and support of three strong pillars, our Management, our Teachers and our Parents. In this new session, we are looking forward to a continual productive partnership with you, to ensure that our children can achieve their highest potential.
Our teachers are here to guide and support your children and to incorporate innovative teaching styles and modalities in the online process. Whatever the future may bring, given the limitations of the current situation, it will be our endeavour to keep working to accomplish the best we can.
The past virtual year has built a solid bedrock of support system between the school and the parents. Our management has been magnanimous in realizing the financial strain imposed on everyone due to the lockdown and has decided to do away with the annual hike of the tuition fees and to waive off the annual (yearly) fees for 2021-22.
With renewed energy, refreshed enthusiasm, and even greater passion to learn, unlearn and relearn with the children in our virtual classrooms, we take a leap into the new session from June 2nd, 2021.
Kindly note the following guidelines for the same:
1. Online Classes: To ensure smooth progression of the Academic year the school will continue with online classes on Google Meet platform. Students will have to login using their Deltastudy Org id. Details regarding timing and schedule of online classes and activities will be intimated by the class teachers, through Class Signal Groups 2021-’22
2. Time Table: The school will share the online time table which incorporates academic and co-curricular periods.
3. Virtual Classroom: Parents need to make necessary arrangements with regard to uninterrupted and smooth functioning of the online classes, equipping oneself with the necessary electronic device and Wi-Fi connection. A permanent study space at home must be allotted, which is free from any kind of distraction and where parent monitoring is ensured.
4. Uniform: To create a classroom ambience, the students must be in their school uniform.

5. Attendance: As per the school policy, every student should have a mandatory minimum attendance during the session. Attendance will be taken every period. Counsel your ward to join the session on time and leave only after the end of the virtual meeting by the respective teacher.
6. Assessments : In view of the present situation, continuous assessment of the students will be done by the teachers. Written tests /oral tests/MCQ/activities/assignments/projects will be conducted and hence kindly ensure that your ward takes these regular assessments seriously.
7. Academics: From the second term onwards an extra 1 hour class will be taken in the evening, to facilitate learning and to curb the practice of going for tuitions. The details of the same will be intimated later.
8. Light Periods: This year we have incorporated Computer Science, General Knowledge and Moral Instruction other than P.E, Yoga, Music and Art, into the e- timetable for your wards’ benefit and so guide them to take all classes seriously.
9. Co-curricular activities: Online competitions for all classes will be conducted to ensure that your wards get an opportunity to express their creativity.
10. Kindergarten: Online activities for Kindergarten will be in the form of presentations/worksheets/online games, which will be self explanatory and parents are requested to guide their children to make the learning process more effective and meaningful.
11. Std XI: Details regarding Std XI online classes will be intimated at the earliest.
12. Std X and XII: Classes for Std X and Std XII will continue as scheduled already, starting with their revision online tests from June 2nd, 2021 as per the time table provided.
This is a time which calls for great patience and perseverance. In light of the present circumstances and to ensure that learning continues, we solicit your support and cooperation like always. Holding hands, we start this new journey of virtual classrooms. As one team let us shoulder this responsibility of raising our children.
All the best for a successful start of a good year for all of us.
Let’s pray to the Almighty to bless our dear children during this unprecedented phase.
Let’s stay safe, stay healthy, stay e-connected and evolve together for a better tomorrow.
With regards,
Shireen Francis
Principal.
