ONAM CELEBRATION

To instill in the students, oneness and unity, the school celebrated Onam with great zeal at the Delta Study. This year Onam celebration was organized by Copernicus House students and teachers. Students and teachers were dressed in their traditional attire and added to the festivity. The program began with the prayer song by the school choir. Mrs. Balaja from the Malayalam department spoke on the relevance of Onam. Various activities were unfolded for the students on 25^th August like Onapattu, Thiruvathira kali by students, Thiruvathira by teachers, Vanchipattu and tableau depicting the story of Onam highlighted the culture and tradition of Kerala. Antonio Ebsen of class VIII Blue in the guise of King Mahabali bestowed his blessings on the gathering. The main attractions of the program  were the Inter-House Pookkalam Competition and Tug-of-war. In the Tug-of-war Rumi House secured the first position, Ramanuja secured the second position, Copernicus third and Schweitzer secured the fourth position. Traditional sweets were distributed to all the students.
